A very warm welcome to Snowdonia
In the foothills of the Snowdonia mountains in the beatifull Conwy Valley, close to the sea, there is a special place well known for it's peace and tranquillity. A place to relax and unwind or enjoy the many wonderful facilities that are found within the grounds and in the Snowdonia area.
Gwern Borter is set in ten acres of landscaped grounds with ornamental, organic kitchen and medicinal herb gardens and spinney. Built in the early 1800's it was a shooting lodge with connections to the aristoctacy. Edward VII is said to have stayed here with his lady Lilly Langtree. We take pride in retaining the Manor's 'Olde Worlde' charm. Our beautifully appointed period rooms include a Victorian 'four poster' bedroom and a double suite with its own large lounge. Our oak entrance hall and staircase has an intriguing collection of original oils and limited editions. All bedrooms have Sky freeview TV/DVD with a free DVD library, tea/coffee, hair dryers and lovely views.
