Yet virtually on your doorstep you’ll find pubs, bars, restaurants. Shops for essential groceries and shops that specialise in outdoor clothing, mountain bike hire, etc. The historic market town of Llanrwst is just 4 miles away and provides numerous shops, banks, two excellent butchers and a supermarket.
There’s plenty though to keep you occupied in the town itself, which has always been an important and major part of life in these parts, including a museum with a miniature railway, the ancient 14th Century St Michael’s church and the Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre for those who want to find more about exploring the outstanding natural beauty of the surrounding Welsh countryside and its many activities, be they outward pursuits, cultural or historical attractions.
Betws-y-Coed is the gateway to the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, which provides excellent mountaineering, mountain biking, walking, canoeing, fishing and nature watching opportunities, together with a good choice of shops pubs and restaurants.
